QATS Railway is designed to monitor GSM-R and ETCS networks. It provides all required features to help our customers to efficiently enhance network quality level, detecting and tackling core and radio networks malfunctions and various technical issues.

This product is based on a real-time application framework called the Expand platform. This platform, which can evolve with customer needs, consists of a set of UNIX servers connected to signal gathering probes via Ethernet links. These probes are non-intrusive, compatible with all the signaling interfaces and protocols used in GSM-R/ETCS networks and capture the traffic in real time 24/7. Information can be captured on E1, ATM or Ethernet links, with copper or optical support. Once processed and stored in a database, information is made available to the user through a modern, ergonomic user interface.

QATS Railway provides complete Reporting capabilities enabling automatic and recurrent report production via a complete scheduling tool using report templates designed either by Expandium or directly by the user.

With QATS Railway, each user can create its own alarm rules in a very interactive and intuitive way, to be automatically warned of specific events such as threshold overshoots, or user-defined KPI limits.

QATS Railway offers a complete set of KPIs, including specific GSM-R and ETCS indicators, providing a clear picture of how network and subscriber behave. These KPIs include transaction counts, failure counts, failure rates and many breakdowns related to the railway context for all types of transactions.

QATS Railway provides radio statistics at cell and TRX level based on BTS and MS measurements, including relevant breakdown in railway context.

Customer care activity often needs to be able to replay all transactions relative to a specific key, whether GSM (e.g. IMSI), GSM-R (e.g. Functional Number) or ETCS (e.g. NID_ENGINE). It is also useful to know what transaction context led to a problem under study. Tracing functionalities display the list of all transactions relative to the tracing key.

For any transaction recorded, QATS Railway gives access to complete message flow in a graphical ladder view and a protocol analyzer view, including complete decoding of all bits and bytes of GSM, GSM-R and ETCS protocol stacks.
